A conference titled Technological innovations, mobility scenarios and the role of public transport companies organized by Cluster Trasporti will be held in Rome on May 28th. The TPL event will take place at 10:30 AM in the Sala Pininfarina, at the Confindustria headquarters in viale dell’Astronomia 30.

The TPL conference, open to public transport operators, both road and rail, institutions and all interested stakeholders, will be an opportunity to look at the present, addressing the possible future mobility scenarios; a sector that is currently at the center of a dynamic evolutionary process, characterized by the emergence of various potentially disruptive innovations.

These can be grouped into three main interconnected branches: the advancement of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, the acceleration towards decarbonization and towards the conversion of mobility services into a “smart” key.

Their innovative scope is such that they could trigger, in the coming years, what some define as a veritable revolution. It is no coincidence that we are already talking about theseventh transport revolution. The expected impact is considerable: it will radically change the way people and goods move, consequently influencing the planning, organization and management of collective transport services themselves.

Navigating this scenario of change – which affects vehicles, companies and organizational structures – requires a methodical, rational and above all integrated approach. In this context, the role of companies operating in TPL is destined to evolve significantly, increasingly projecting towards integrated and digitized mobility.

The discussion on May 28th will not be limited to outlining future mobility scenarios, but will also focus, in fact, on the role that all TPL actors will be called upon to actively play in this process of change.
